Eclipse
“Parents, your child will miss this once in a life time solar eclipse. Anyone can watch it online, but most of the residents of Georgia have the opportunity to see it first hand. This opportunity has been taken away from the students of Colquitt County by the superintendent.
Solar glasses?
“Is anyone in this area selling solar eclipse glasses? Apparently local stores don’t have them. It’s not safe to view what we will see here without those glasses. Hope everyone makes sure their kids don’t view it without the NASA approved glasses.
Safety issue
“During the eclipse, our Colquitt County students and teachers have been told not to go outside due to safety reasons. Moultrie is due at 2:42 p.m. Most of our smallest children will be outside getting in a car or loading buses. Safety isn’t being considered. Tifton is letting out of school early. What are we doing Colquitt County?
In response
“So by the ranter’s logic, a person only has the “right” to as much healthcare as they can afford? Well, I sure hope that person never has to spend time in an ICU or have a transplant performed.
Deja vu
“I woke up this morning and turned on the news,it was Oct 22, 1962 all over again.
Shaking things up
“Instead of everyone having an opinion about our new police chief why doesn’t everyone support him? He has plenty of experience and knows our town inside and out. Our police department has been a joke for awhile now. There’s a new man in town and he’s here to shake thing up.
Mosquitos
“Talking about city services going down, prices still up, with all the mosquito born illnesses we have out there now, West Nile as close as Albany, but, City of Moultrie mosquito sprayer has not been through our neighborhood in a few years now .
Loud music
“Citizens of Funston Georgia next election let’s vote for a mayor who will work for all people and will do something about the loud music and speeding in our town.
Retrospect
“I wish SCORE had been around years ago when I was trying to get into business. Glad to see it here now.
