Under Ruis’s direction more than 62 miles of roads were resurfaced and more than 27 miles of roads were paved, the city said in a press release.
City Manager Pete Dillard announced Greg Monfort as the new director of engineering. Monfort has been employed in the engineering department since 1984.
“I believe in treating people the way I want to be treated,” Monfort said. “I take pride in making sure the job is well done.”
He will manage five employees and various tasks.
