Rants and Raves

Unhappy: “Roll-out cans are another way city services are going down while prices are going up. In-ground cans were emptied twice a week, at the road, no bug problem. Now roll-outs are picked up once a week (if lucky) and brings bugs up close to homes. Yard rash pick-up is a joke, other pick up like furniture, never!
Suggestion
“With reference to Mr. Walden’s column about prayer. these are outstanding thoughts. Too bad this could not be read by the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and the majority leader of the U.S. Senate!
Applause
“Applause to all of those people who helped with the ‘Night Out’ event Tuesday evening. That’s a great way to begin a new school year and to our folks together with our kids.
Ox in ditch
“Asking the public to get involved and attend public meetings is a voice crying in the wilderness. The public won’t attend on a regular basis … only when a burning issue affects them directly. In other words, when their ox is in the ditch.
Our support
“I’m glad there was a strong showing of area law enforcement at Tuesday’s ‘Night Out.’ Our community needs to interact with these officers more often. They have a huge challenge fighting crime here and they need our support.
Quit picking on him
“I wish the press would quit picking on our president and let him do his job like he promised.
Circus train
“You are correct, the circus train derailed in our nation’s capital. I’ve never seen such a calamity in my life.
Road safety
“Looks like there have been more patrols lately on West Boulevard. Many thanks. Motorists are really reckless on that road.
Unstable
“I can’t keep up with who is in and who is out at the White House. One would think six months into a presidency a staff would be stable and functioning.
Wrong way
“Saw a guy go around the wrong way at the roundabout. Some people don’t need to be driving.
