TIFTON — The driver of a tractor trailer carrying a load of lumber lost control of his truck, scattering the payload across the westbound lane of Highway 82 just west of Brookfield Tuesday afternoon.

The single vehicle accident blocked the westbound lane completely while the lumbar was cleaned up.

As of post time the road is still blocked as the cleanup efforts continue.

According to Tift County Sheriff’s deputies, there were no injuries.
