- Quandarius Tyshon Corbin,
MOULTRIE, Ga. — A burglary suspect was able to briefly elude police on Thursday, but even if he’d made a clean escape there was a little problem. When the suspect ran from the residence, a stolen truck was left there with his identification inside.
Deputies later caught up with Quandarius Tyshon Corbin and he was taken to jail on an active probation violation warrant.
Police were dispatched between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. to the residence of Johnny Banks in the 2100 block of Sylvester Drive to investigate a report of a burglary in progress, Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Michael Cox said.
“Sgt. Chris Thomas arrived and observed a male exiting the home,” Cox said. “He gave chase by foot but lost sight.”
A while later deputies located Corbin at another residence and took him into custody.
“A stolen truck from Adel was recovered at the scene,” Cox said. “Some of the stolen items from the home were found in the bed of the truck. The man being detained had his ID in the truck.”
Cox said he will file charges in the case when he completes his investigation.
Corbin was being held at Colquitt County Jail on the probation warrant.
