Twins' train ride

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Levi and Dewitt Wilson, both of Moultrie, experienced their first train ride earlier this month.

In honor of their 80th birthday, the twins were treated to a ride on the SAM Short Line excursion train, which runs from Cordele to Americus and back.

Their sister, Opal Beck, said trains have delighted the men since they were small but they had never ridden on one.

Beck and another sister, Eva Burks, arranged the train ride as a surprise about a week before their brothers’ July 9 birthday. She said the men were as delighted as children during the ride.
