Find the witch: “Okay, let’s say this thing with Trump’s son is a witch hunt. Then let’s find that witch and burn her at the stake!

NAFTA editorial

“I just read the guest editorial about NAFTA. I agree, it has worked. I also just read where the National Pork Producers said to ‘leave NAFTA alone.’ And then there’s Secretary of Agriculture Perdue over at Savannah in the trilateral meeting with Mexico and Canada and they’re having a virtual love fest over trade with each other. So NAFTA is not the beast that some ultra-conservatives posed. Also, it was a bipartisan action.

Call city hall

“If you are having trouble in your neighborhood with trash can violations, then call city hall and asked them why the rules are not being enforced. Holding government accountable is not a sin, it’s a responsibility.

Me, too

“I also get a lot of strange calls from distant places on my cell phone. I just ignore them. If it’s important, they will leave a voice mail. I also have learned that sometimes if you try to return one of these calls, you will get a message that the number is not in service. In other words, it’s a one-way deal.

Right and wrong

“In their relentless effort to point out what is legal vs. illegal, Republicans seem to have lost sight of what is right vs. wrong.

Good for you

“To the person who has been monitoring your neighborhood trash and it looks fine. Good for you. Your cans must be picked up in the back of your house. For those of use that ride down streets dodging cans left in the roadway because there are no sidewalks or front yards to place them , we have a problem.

Garbage cans

“I called about a second trash can and was told it cost $38 per month. This once- a- week pickup is killing me. You are wrong, the new cans don’t hold more! I see people hauling trash to dumpsters because their cans are full. Please give us a solution that doesn’t cost more money from a hard working family.

Public meetings

“Yes, Develop Authority meetings are open to the public. All ‘authority’ meetings are open to the public, including the hospital. Just call them and they will tell you when and where they meet.

Suggestion

“Why don’t they just bulldoze that house on South Main. It’s in shambles anyway. Surely there’s some kind of city code that prevents this eyesore.
