MOULTRIE, Ga. — Two Colquitt County residents died over the weekend at a Thomasvile hospital after being involved in accidents — one who was ejected from a car on Saturday evening and a second who had been hospitalized since a June 16 wreck.
Timothy Shawn Johnson, 44, of Moultrie was pronounced dead on Sunday at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Colquitt County Coroner Verlyn Brock said.
He was one of two people reportedly ejected in a wreck in the 500 block of Eighth Street Southwest.
Johnson initially was taken to Colquitt Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Archbold, Brock said.
A second person injured in that accident wreck was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. No information of the patient’s identity or condition were known on Monday.
The Observer contacted the Georgia State Patrol seeking information about the accident.
On Saturday, Melton Franklin Conger, 71, died at Archbold. Brock did not immediately have any additional information, other than that the accident occurred on June 16.
The GSP did not investigate that accident.
