1 person charged in Friday drug bust

MOULTRIE, Ga. — One of three people taken into custody on Friday has been charged after a search at an Overlook Drive residence turned up suspected marijuana.
Agents with the Colquitt County Drug Enforcement Team on Friday afternoon searched the 1422 Overlook Drive residence of Johnny Matthew Cox.
“Seized (was) about half a pound of marijuana from the residence,” Sgt. Justin Searcy said.
Officers also seized some $440 in cash and drug paraphernalia, he said.
Only Cox, 51, has been formally charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
In other recent drug-related arrests:
• Heather Dotson Bradley, 26, and David Justin Daniels, 28, both of 317 Sardis Church Road, were each charged June 20 with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related object and four counts reckless conduct.
• Whitney Turner, 25, 2607 R.L. Sears Road, was charged June 17 with possession of marijuana.
