MOULTRIE, Ga. — Increased law enforcement presence in Moultrie in the form of state troopers and concentrated patrols put a number of drivers in jail, including several on DUI charges.

The Georgia State Patrol made four arrests on Friday of suspected impaired drivers. Local agencies also made arrests of a number of drivers, with charges including driving while unlicensed, no insurance and expired license plates.

GSP arrests made over the weekend included:

• Jaquaveon Devonye Shingles, 17, 1200 10th St. S.W., was charged Friday with driving under the influence and driving without license.

• Jeffery Lee Adams, 31, 810 Third Ave. S.W., was charged Friday with driving under the influence.

• Byron John Jordan, 30, 1316 Fifth Ave., Albany, was charged Friday with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, obstruction of a police officer and driving with suspended or revoked license.

• Samir Perdomo, 37, 247 Shady Grove Road, was charged Friday with driving under the influence.

• Chad Sebastian Logan, 37, 1330 U.S. Hwy. 319 N. Lot 74, Norman Park, was charged Friday with driving while license suspended.

• Carlos Alexis Reyes, 19, 541 Coy Cox Road, Omega, was charged Friday with driving while unlicensed.

In other traffic arrests

Moultrie Police

• Salvador Santos Martinez, 37, 608 Sixth St. S.W., was charged Friday with no insurance, seat belt violation, child restraint violation and driving while license withdrawn.

• Levie Murrel Adams, 58, 1803 West Blvd., was charged Friday with operation of vehicle with improper license plate, expired driver’s license, trailer tag expired and seat belt violation.

• Michael Dewayne Sutton, 22, 1012 Highland Blvd., was charged Friday with driving without license, failure to appear, duty to obey police officer and failure to yield right-of-way.

Doerun Police

• Israel Cruz, 27, 204 Second St. S., was charged Sunday with driving without license and seat belt violation.

Sheriff’s Office

• Christopher Sebastin Pollock, 25, 1045 11th Ave. N.E., Cairo, was charged Monday with defective equipment and driving without license.

• Kenzic Thomas, 34, 3266 Old Adel Road Lot 9, was charged Sunday with driving while license withdrawn.

• Ashley Nicole Duncan, 119 Yellow Jacket Court, as charged with driving with suspended or revoked license and defective equipment.

• Sidney Donovan Carroll, 20, 4000 Walden Road, Valdosta, was charged Saturday with speeding and possession of marijuana.

• Felix Fernandez Hernandez, 30, 301 Circle Road, was charged Thursday with driving without license and failure to drive within single lane.
