Jordan Forehand
FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. — Jordan Forehand of Moultrie, Ga. has been named to the Dean’s List at Emmanuel College, Franklin Springs, Georgia, for the spring semester of the 2016-1 7 academic year.
To be named to the Dean’s List a student must earn a quality point average of 3.60 or higher during a given semester and be enrolled full-time.
Emily Tillman
CUTHBERT, Ga. — Emily Tillman of Moultrie, Ga., graduated Saturday, May 6, from Andrew College with an AS degree in athletic training.
Established in 1854, Andrew College is a two-year College related to The United Methodist Church and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Situated in the rural southwest Georgia community of Cuthbert, Andrew College offers the Associate of Art, Associate of Music, and Associate of Science degrees.

AMERICUS, Ga. — The following area residents were among approximately 250 students who graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Spring 2017 Commencement Ceremony held on Thursday, May 4, in Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.
• Garon Croft of Moultrie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
• Monica Murphy of Moultrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in early childhood education.
• Maegan Pierce of Doerun earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Business Administration in management.
• Melinda Sanderson of Moultrie earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing magna cum laude.
The commencement speaker was John Watford, president of South Georgia Technical College and an alumnus of GSW.
Walker Tucker
CONWAY, S.C. — Walter Tucker, of Moultrie, Ga., majoring in theatre arts, has made the President’s List at Coastal Carolina University for the Spring 2017 semester.
To qualify for the President’s List for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.
Bryana C. Scott
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — Bryana C. Scott of Coolidge has been named to the Dean’s List at Jacksonville State University.
More than 1,600 students made the President’s or Dean’s List at Jacksonville State University during the Spring 2017 semester for their outstanding academic achievements.
To be named to the President’s List, a student must earn a perfect 4.0 GPA while attending full-time. Full-time students earning a GPA of 3.5-3.99 are named to the Deans’ List of their respective schools.
Gabriel Mobley
ATLANTA — Gabriel Mobley of Moultrie received a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta during the week of May 8, 2017.
More than 4,300 students received certificates and degrees across numerous disciplines of study, including undergraduate- and graduate-level certificates, and degrees at the associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, specialist and doctoral levels.
Mobley was also named to the Spring 2017 President’s List at Georgia State University. To be eligible for the President’s List, students must earn a 4.0 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.
Thomas University
THOMASVILLE — The following undergraduate students at Thomas University from Moultrie are recognized for achieving academic success during the Spring Semester 2017.
President’s List students attend TU full-time and have a GPA of 4.0. Dean’s List students attend TU full-time and have a GPA of 3.5 to 3.99.
Merit List students attend TU part-time and have a GPA of 3.5 or better.

MACON, Ga. — Mercer University recently announced the President’s List and Dean’s List for the spring 2017 semester. Inclusion on these lists requires students to meet rigorous grade-point-average standards specific to the college or school within the university.
