Some emergency workers have left the scene of a serious wreck on Sixth Street and Second Avenue Northeast to attend to a second accident.

Several people reported injuries in connection with a collision at South Main Street and First Avenue. Traffic is restricted at that intersection.

Other rescue personnel remain on scene at the earlier crash and those streets remain blocked.

11:04 a.m.

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Rescue workers are on scene at a two-vehicle accident on Sixth Street Northeast at Second Avenue. Both streets are blocked.

It appears a large delivery truck struck a small van on the driver’s side. Indications are the driver of the van was seriously injured.

A trooper with the Georgia State Patrol is en route to investigate the accident. The streets may be closed for quite some time before the investigation is concluded and the vehicles can be moved.
