MOULTRIE, Ga. — On Friday, May 5, the local chapter of the Gold Wing Road Riders motorcycle group had the pleasure of granting a birthday wish. Elena Leroux, a C.A. Gray Junior High student with cerebral palsy was turning 17 years old and wanted to ride on a motorcycle.

“We became aware of her wish through one of our members that works at the school,” a club spokeswoman said. “We were honored to be able to grant her wish and arrived at the school on Friday afternoon to pick her up for a ride around town and then to Dairy Queen. We picked her up in a Goldwing equipped with a sidecar for safety. … The joy on her face was priceless, and she had a great time.”

A total of 10 bikes escorted Leroux on her trip.
