CCHS Edible Book Fair winners

- Diego Charles and Cameron Crosby, ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ and ‘Game of Thrones,’ tied for 1st place in the Best Collaboration category.
Colquitt County High School recently held its annual Edible Book Fair. Students and faculty competed in six categories, including:
PEOPLE’S CHOICE: Libby Bruce, The Bible, first place; Abby Alvis, ‘Holes,’ 2nd; and Libba Johnson, ‘Good Country People,’ and Cassidy Weaver, ‘The County of Monte Cristo,’ 3rd.
DROP DEAD GORGEOUS: Mackenzie Blair, ‘Harry Potter,’ 1st; Brooke Taylor, ‘Fancy Nancy,’ 2nd; and Brianne Allen, ‘Cinderella,’ 3rd.
MOST PUN-DERFUL: Celia Smith, ‘20,000 Leeks Under the Sea,’ 1st; German Llamas, ‘Of Mice and Men,’ 2nd; and Samuel Kundi, ‘Julius Caesar,’ 3rd.
CLASSIC OR BANNED: Samantha Hall, ‘The Odyssey,’ 1st; and Christopher Blanton, ‘MacBeth,’ 2nd.
CHILDREN’S BOOK: Megan Bryan, ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff,’ 1st; Payton Moore, ‘Arnie the Donut,’ 2nd; and J.W. Griffin, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar,’ 3rd.
