THOMASVILLE, Ga. — State troopers from the Thomasville Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 14 traffic crashes during the month of April in Colquitt County. Sgt. First Class Tommy Peeples III said the traffic crashes resulted in one traffic death.

Esther LaRosa Falcon, 44, of West Palm Beach, Fla., died April 12 in a two-car collision on Cool Springs Road at R.L. Sears Road.

Peeples said troopers from Post 12 Thomasville also issued 85 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes six arrests for driving under the influence, 27 citations for speeding, 18 seat belt violations, and no child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 96 warnings.
