White Springs council remains unchanged

- Tonja Brown was reelected to the White Springs Town Council during Tuesday's election.
WHITE SPRINGS — The town of White Springs held its election Tuesday for two council seats that are up for election.
The three seats remain unchanged with incumbents Rhett Bullard and Tonja Brown receiving the most votes.
Bullard received 157 votes. Brown received 118 votes. Tom Moore received 63 votes.
According to Town Manager Stacy Tebo, only 190 ballots were cast out of the 508 registered voters in White Springs.
The other three council seats are held by Willie Jefferson, Walter McKenzie and Helen Miller
The reelected council members will be sworn in at the White Springs’ Town Hall on Thursday at 7 p.m. The council will elect the mayor and vice mayor at that time.
Bullard currently holds the mayor position with McKenzie serving as vice mayor.
