Sex offender charged with registry violation

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County sex offender listed as an absconder was among recent arrests made by law enforcement agencies.

Robert David Partain, 41, 212 Doc Darbyshire Road, was charged Tuesday with two counts sex offender registry violation and probation violation.

Partain was convicted in December 2011 on a statutory rape charge, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s state sex registry. The site said that he also was on the absconder list.

• Cedric Davis, 36, 185 Cool Breeze Drive, was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct.

• Preston Clay Sammons, 24, 1315 11th Ave. S.W., was charged Monday with simple assault.

• Dexter Dewan Williams, 26, 2306 Hwy. 133 S., was charged Tuesday with driving without license, no insurance, driving while tag suspended and using tag to conceal identification.

Thefts

Moultrie Police

• Kelvie Johnson, 42, Moultrie, reported Tuesday the theft of a flatbed trailer valued at $1,700 from the 300 block of Fourth Avenue Southeast.

• Carolyn Mims, 200 block Hillcrest Avenue, reported Tuesday the theft of a flower pot valued at $50.
