MOULTRIE, Ga. — Where can your child experience a week of fun and adventures this summer in a safe and caring environment? Rock Eagle 4-H Center, of course! Does your child enjoy swimming, nature hikes, bugs and snakes, adventure courses, crafts and canoeing? If so, the Rock Eagle 4-H Center is the place for them.
Georgia 4-H Summer Camp at Rock Eagle provides an outdoor summer program unmatched by anyone, according Zona Medley, director of Colquitt County 4-H.
“The assortment of workshops offers a hands-on experience that makes our week of camp fun and memorable,” Medley said. “I can personally say, when I was a fifth grader at Norman Park School, my week at Rock Eagle is one of my most treasured childhood memories. And it can be your child’s too!”
But time is running out! Colquitt County 4-H registration ends this Thursday, April 6. There may be spaces available after that date, but this is not guaranteed, Medley said.
Colquitt County’s week of camp is June 26-30. Cost is $300, which includes transportation, insurance, four nights lodging, T-shirt, any supplies and 12 meals. Students will need extra money for lunch on Friday, snacks, and souvenirs.
To sign up now, there is a $100 non-refundable deposit to the Colquitt County Extension office, located at 350 Veterans Parkway, next door to Publix in the Ag Complex Building. The program does offer a payment plan once the deposit has been paid.
