MOULTRIE, Ga. — Two teen-agers face burglary and other charges related to a Thursday incident in which they are accused of luring a girl to a vacant house to have sex with her.

At about 4:45 Thursday police received a call from an unknown person about three males pushing a female inside a residence at 900 Seventh Ave. S.E.

There, police arrested Cedric Lashawn Martin, 17, as he exited the rear door of the residence. A 13-year-old girl and Billy Jarrel Rushing, 19, came to the front door when an officer knocked.

Rushing told police that they were “just chilling” at the residence and that the owner, Issac Wilson, knew they were there. When Wilson arrived at the residence, however, he told police that the teens did not have permission to be inside.

When interviewed by police, the girl said that one of the older boys had invited her to go to Zaxby’s to eat. Instead of going to the restaurant, they went to a residence near Berlin and picked up another teen-age boy, drove around a while and then went to the residence inside the city.

Once they went inside, police said, Martin and Rushing apparently were planning to both have sex with the girl, but had not done so before officers arrived at the residence.

The girl’s family told police that one of the boys had been warned to not try to date her, and that the girl also had been told to stay away from him.

The girl was released to a family member. A third teen-aged boy, the passenger reportedly picked up after the girl got in the car, was not charged.

Martin and Rushing were each charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes, burglary and criminal attempt to commit statutory rape.
