MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Moultrie man was treated and released from Colquitt Regional Medical Center Monday following a robbery the previous evening.
Moultrie police responded to the 500 block of Fourth Street Northwest about 5 a.m. Monday. Eddie Burden was transported from there by Colquitt Regional EMS, police said.
The investigation report indicated Burden was beaten and robbed around 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the 400 block of Second Street Northwest, but when a police officer walked that area, he didn’t see any indications of the attack.
“[Burden] was not forthcoming as to the exact area where he was assaulted,” the report said.
Police said $80 was taken from Burden during the incident.
