MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Breathe for Bonnie Campaign ‘BonFighters’ are painting South Georgia purple! A group of about 50 volunteers with an executive board of 11 are on a mission in association with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise $100,000 within 12 months in honor of Team Bonnie Griner.
Griner is a Colquitt County native and a long term cystic fibrosis patient who is now in need of a double lung transplant. The team has planned a series of events with 100 percent of proceeds from each event, in addition to all individual donations, going to COTA in honor of TeamBonnieGriner. The money will assist with covering any transplant related expenses.
If you would like to be a corporate sponsor, please contact Charlotte Wingate, outreach representative, at (229) 891-5742 or if you would like to make a donation, contact Samantha Rowell, treasurer and COTA webmaster, at (229) 985-8388.
