Arrests
Moultrie Police
• Fredrick Bernard Wallace, 26, 1213 Elliot Brown St., was charged Thursday with driving without a license, seat belt violation and open container in vehicle.
• Karen Sutton, 41, 940 Ninth St. S.W., was charged Thursday with open container and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
• Tiffany Lauren Shuler, 26, was charged Thursday with shoplifting.
Shuler was stopped by Wal-Mart security. She allegedly put items valued at $41 into a shopping bag and walked out of the store without paying for them, police said.
• Laura Ponce, 31, 152 Clinton Road, was charged Thursday with driving without a license, a child restraint violation and impeding traffic flow.
• Annette Danielle Merritt, 20, 204 29th Ave. N.W., was charged Thursday with driving without a license and following too closely.
• Fulgencio Gutierrez, 49, 1562 Ellenton-Omega Road, Ellenton, was charged Thursday with driving while license suspended.
• Robert Lee Hersey, 40, of Adel, was charged Thursday with possession of methamphetamine and loitering. A patrolling officer found Hersey in a pickup truck in the parking lot of Arts Center Apartments around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Sheriff’s Office
• Belinda T. Saunders, 55, 244 David Newton Road, was charged Wednesday with simple battery.
• Timothy Isaac McKee, 17, 125 Edmondson Road, was charged Thursday with simple battery and two counts simple battery (family violence).
• Tauni Charmaine King, 24, 1330 Lot 83 U.S. Highway 319 N., Norman Park, was charged with being a fugitive from justice and is being held for authorities in Brevard County, Fla.
• Sandy Deas Jr., 53, 133 Country Road, was charged Wednesday with simple battery (family violence) and interfering with a 911 call (family violence).
• Lonnie Wesley Beck, 42, 511 Overlook Road, was charged Thursday with driving while license suspended or revoked and harassing communications.
Thefts
Sheriff’s Office
• Jason Hole, 300 block Foxthick Road, reported Thursday that two cell phones, some trash bags, food and drinks were taken from his residence during a burglary March 4.
• Lakeisha Nunn, 100 block Dunn Road, reported a $400 laptop was taken from her vehicle between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 11:41 a.m. Thursday. The deputy said the passenger door had scratches that indicated someone had used a tool to pry it open.
• Tonya McMurphy, who was staying with a friend in the 200 block of Yogi Bear Road, Norman Park, told deputies her dogs went missing from the friend’s property March 5, and on Thursday she saw an ad for them on another acquaintance’s Facebook page.
• George Hicks, 400 block Seminole Drive, reported Wednesday that his pressure washer, valued at $300, was missing. He said it disappeared two or three weeks ago, and he delayed reporting it to law enforcement while he checked to see if family members had borrowed it.
Moultrie Police
• Lakeisha Nechole Coates, 800 block Shy Manor Drive, reported Thursday that a $154 check was missing from her residence. She said she held a birthday party for her daughter March 4 and thinks someone at the party might have taken it.
Violence
Moultrie Police
• Cathy Shernise Bell, 700 block Fifth Avenue Southwest, reported Thursday that she was attacked during an argument with a man she knows. The officer noted red marks on her chest and face, a scratch on her cheek and a small cut above her lip. A door in the residence was also damaged during the incident.
