Davenport, McIntyre sentenced

TIFTON — The jury returned a verdict at approximately 11 a.m. Friday in the trial of DeAnthony Raphael Davenport and Austin Jermaine McIntyre.

Davenport and McIntyre were on trial for the 2014 shooting death of Bernard “Nard” Thomas.

Davenport was found guilty of malice murder, felony murder, criminal attempt to commit a felony, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

He was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole for the first two counts, 30 years for the third and 15 years for the fourth to be served concurrently and five years for the fifth count to be served consecutively, with credit given for time served.

McIntyre was found not guilty of malice murder or possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, but was found guilty of felony murder, criminal attempt to commit a felony and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

He was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole for the first two counts and 15 years for the third to be served concurrently with credit given for time served.
