Envision Credit Union (Envision) representatives have announced their credit union has been selected as the partner for merger by Rose City Federal Credit Union (RCFCU) in Thomasville. The boards of both financial institutions voted to approve the potential merger last week. The two credit unions will begin working together on the merger process with expected approvals from National Credit Union Administration and RCFCU membership.
“We are thrilled to be selected as a merger partner for Rose City Federal Credit Union,” said President and CEO of Envision Darryl G. Worrell. “Since 1959, Rose City has been dedicated to the Thomasville community and is committed to meeting the needs of their members. This philosophy is perfectly aligned with Envision’s and I believe this merger will allow Rose City to continue to support their members and the Thomasville community.”
RCFCU received multiple responses to their request for proposals and Envision was selected after thorough reviews of all proposals by the board.
“Rose City Federal Credit Union’s top priority is providing the best service to our members, so we were very deliberate in our search for a potential merger partner,” said RCFCU’s Chief Executive Officer Lee W. Bryant.
“We’re excited to begin moving forward through this process with Envision and we feel confident that they are as committed to the Thomasville community as we are. And we are eager to bring our members dynamic products, services and technology that is needed in today’s financial services marketplace.”
With more than 46,000 members and $458 million in assets, Envision focuses on providing education-based giveback initiatives to members and organizations in eight counties across north Florida and south Georgia. RCFCU has two locations in Thomasville with more than 7,600 members and $31 million in assets. If the merger is approved, all RCFCU staff will be retained and both branch locations will remain open.
