STATESBORO, Ga. — Georgia Southern University recently recognized more than 1,350 students for excellence in academics on the Fall 2016 semester President’s List.
To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Graduates
STATESBORO, Ga. — The 25th annual Georgia Southern Fall 2016 Commencement Ceremony represented a momentous day as approximately 1,700 of Georgia’s best and brightest undergraduate and graduate students received degrees from the university’s eight colleges. Approximately 400 graduate degrees were conferred, while around 1,300 undergraduate students received degrees.
Graduates included:
• Whitney Pilgrim of Moultrie received a BS in Nursing, RN to BSN in Nursing/RN to BSN.
• Gabrielle Dennis of Moultrie received a BS in Nursing, RN to BSN in Nursing/RN to BSN.
• Rashad Weeks of Moultrie received a BS in Biology in Biology.
• Laura Veasey of Moultrie received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
• Jontavious Edwards of Moultrie received a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Communication.
• Clinton Carter of Moultrie received a Bachelor of Music in Music Ed/Instrumental Sequence.
• Rebecca Grave De Peralta of Coolidge received a BS in Biology.
• Carlos Bautista of Moultrie received a BS in Education in Middle Grades Education.
• William Forehand of Moultrie received a Master of Arts in Spanish.
• James Harrison of Moultrie received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management/Human Resource Management.
Katherine Russell
ATHENS, Ga. — Katherine A. Russell of Moultrie was named a Presidential Scholar for the Fall 2016 semester at the University of Georgia.
Presidential Scholars have received a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

President’s List
ATLANTA — Shelby Rakestraw, of Moultrie was named to the President’s List for Fall 2016 at Georgia State University.
To be eligible for the President’s List, degree-seeking students with a minimum Georgia State cumulative GPA of 2.00 must earn a 4.00 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.
Dean’s List
ATLANTA — To be eligible for the Dean’s List, degree-seeking students with a minimum Georgia State cumulative GPA of 2.00 must earn a 3.50 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.
