Responses?  “You know with all of this talk about failing schools and Cox Elementary in particular, I haven’t seen anyone in official capacity address any of these comments. Of course one school official said they did  not dignify such remarks with comment. Really? I think you may have seen recently what happens when the general public is ignored. Observation

“We will never move forward as human beings as long as the people let rich people tell us that other rich people are the reason we are poor. Wake up and look around, and ask yourself what do politicians really do for you except add gas to the fire and live themselves a pretty nice life on us with perks.

Part of problem

“Yes there are racists on all sides, when the term racist becomes an excuse every time something does not go your way, you become part of the problem. Yes I am white and never seem to get a break, so I ask where is my white privilege I hear about? Two types of people, rich and poor… All bleed red.

Great progress

“My child’s teacher at Sunset called me to schedule a meeting with the principal. I was really nervous. They had been monitoring my child’s performance and wanted to let me know they were going to be trying some different strategies. I didn’t know principals had these meetings. My child has made great progress since that meeting. Thanks Sunset School!

Little progress

“ Dr. King would be ashamed at what little progress has been made here. Black kids still go to predominantly black schools, churches are still separate, we sit on different sides of the stadium, blacks fill up special education classes and jails, we still live in segregated areas of town, and we still won’t admit there’s a problem! He’s crying!

Racist

“You are right, they will never bring schools together because they don’t want their precious white kids to associate with us! This is a racist community but nobody will admit it. The Mexicans are scared to talk out and the blacks have been beaten down and brainwashed to think this is how it’s supposed to be.
