Dealer tracks stolen car to Southwest Moultrie

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Police recovered a stolen car on Thursday after the auto dealership from which it was purchased was able to provide a rough location of the vehicle.
Charlotte Sizemore, 42, reported her 2006 Dodge Stratus stolen Wednesday night. She told police it was taken from a park in southwest Moultrie.
The next day Sizemore told police that ABC Auto Sales had tracked the car to the 200 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast. An officer found the car parked in a driveway in that area.

• Beverly Hayes, 400 block Arrington Dairy Road, reported Thursday that a male acquaintance stole a Jiminez Arms pistol valued at $400 from her 2016 Nissan Frontier while it was parked in the 500 block of Circle Road.
Hayes told police that she heard the sound of her truck door being shut and when she looked out saw a man she recognized running away from it. She also reported receiving a text message from someone who identified the same man as having the pistol.
• Sheena Sutton, 400 block Seventh Avenue Southeast, reported Thursday the theft of $31 and other property valued at $15 from her 1997 Ford Explorer.
