MOULTRIE, Ga. — A tip about the location of a stolen four-wheeler led police — eventually — to find it at another residence, where officers made one arrest, with more expected.

Justin Mack Allen was not charged in the theft, but was accused of giving police inaccurate information when officers asked him about the stolen vehicle.

Officers initially went to the 3000 block of Highway 133 North, where they were told they would find the 2002 Honda Sport-Trax reported stolen on Jan. 18 from the residence of James Jordan in the 100 block of Mark Lane.

“He (Jordan) got information that it might be at that location on Highway 133 North,” Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chris Robinson said. “There deputies made contact with a female who was there (who) gave another address.”

When officers got to that residence in the 300 block of Hagin Still Road, Allen was there.

“Apparently he lied to the deputies,” Robinson said. “They ended up finding the four-wheeler there.”

Allen, 36, 1331 U.S. Hwy. 319 N. Lot 79, Norman Park, was charged with obstruction of an officer.

Others face misdemeanor charges in connection with the theft of Jordan’s four-wheeler.
