MOULTRIE, Ga. — A tally of the past week’s reported thefts in Moultrie and Colquitt County comes to nearly $25,000.
A Norman Park man’s Thursday evening encounter with three individuals, who invaded his residence while he was away, wasn’t a fairy tale, but the uninvited guests apparently thought enough of his beds to steal them.
William Hickey, of the 200 block of Lazy Bear Road, reported that when he returned home after several days’ absence he observed three people inside his residence.
The intruders escaped through a window when he approached.
When Hickey investigated, he found that a set of bunk beds were missing, as were two window air conditioners and a clothes washer and dryer.
Hickey estimated the value of the stolen property at $1,050.
