President’s List

AMERICUS, Ga. —  The following local residents made the Fall 2016 President’s List at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among 559 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must earn a semester GPA of 4.0 and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Dean’s List

AMERICUS, Ga. — The following local residents made the Fall 2016 Dean’s List at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among 559 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

• Callie Buckner of Moultrie.

• Kayla Everson of Moultrie.

• Devyn Newberry of Ochlocknee.

• Maegan Pierce of Doerun.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Academic Achievement

AMERICUS, Ga. —Melinda Sanderson, a resident of Moultrie, made the Fall 2016 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 559 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

University of North Georgia

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — John Hudson May of Berlin has been named to the President’s Honor Roll at the University of North Georgia for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.

Dr. Bonita C. Jacobs, president of UNG, recognized more than 1,300 students who reached this academic achievement during the spring 2016 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor’s degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President’s Honor Roll.
