Devils split with Bainbridge

TIFTON, Ga. — The Tift County Blue Devils rolled on Saturday night, but the Lady Devils saw their three-game win streak ended on the road against Bainbridge.
Tift’s girls fell to the Lady Bearcats, 49-43, while the Devils trounced their opponents, 72-25.
The Lady Devils and Bainbridge were tied at 17 at intermission and led, 30-25 after three quarters.
Bainbridge scored 24 points in the fourth quarter, thanks to nine points from Nadia Marshall and eight from Tytianna Roseborough. Marshall scored 22 points overall, including a big second quarter where she scored nine. All of Roseborough’s scoring was in the final period.
Tyra Smart added 12 points for the Lady Bearcats.
Tift was paced by 14 points from Joslyn Reyes, 11 coming in the second half. Audrey McElhaney added eight points and Kaysie Harrelson and Dayana Chaney each scored six.
In the nightcap, Preston Horne scored 26 for the Devils. Fred Lloyd added 17.
Tift County will host Colquitt County next Friday.
