Third armed robbery in Tifton

TIFTON, Ga. — An armed robber who targeted Wing Addiction Jan. 3 was caught while the robbery was in progress, according to the Tifton Police Department.
William Jackson Dooley, 38, of Joppa, Ala, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and battery.
According to the police report, Dooley was armed with a cutting tool and took the whole cash register.
The robbery was called in and the response time was less than one minute, according to Det. Ferron Yi of the Tifton Police Department.
The offender was still in the restaurant when police arrived, and he was quickly taken into custody.
Dooley is currently being held in the Tift County Jail.
