Remember

“When you are in your holiday cheer please make sure you not only remember law enforcement and first responders but the ones behind it all, your dispatchers. A big thank you to all involved in keeping us safe during the holidays especially too the ones only heard not seen.

Matter of safety

“New or old…. No Parking means No Parking. Maybe the school board should do something to aid parents in parking. I thank them for looking out for the safety of our children. If people park in the no parking zone, the children can’t be seen when parents let them run across the road when they are talking instead of watching.

In response

“On moving teachers and administrators:  Do you realize in your response that you slapped the faces of 75% (+/-) of the teachers in Colquitt County? Do parents send children to college to teach at a particular school? If they face not getting a contract you will see an about face.  Did you understand the part about standardized and maybe even equal schools?  What an attitude!  What an ideal life some people live.

Rescind them

“I think the Norman Park police should have issued warnings instead of handing out citations. Indeed this was a Barney Fife move. I think City Council should rescind those citations.

Too lazy

“Yea it would be a good resolution for the public to attend more local government meetings. But it likely won’t happen because we’ve become to complacent and downright lazy.

It worked

“You have to understand that Trump’s outcry for a Hillary prosecution was a soundbite. It was gross opportunism to get the public on the warpath. And it worked. After he was elected, by the electoral college and not the  popular vote, he said the Clintons were good people. Every heard that expression ‘hook, line and sinker?’

The difference

“One of the problems with the public and news is that many people don’t understand the difference between news and commentary. And beyond that, many don’t know the difference between commentary and show business.

White elephant

“Just drove by the intermodal facility (also known as Boondoggle Way) and saw the lonely Christmas tree inside. Well, at least that’s better than that stack of tires that once were in there. Does every town have such a white elephant?

More cops killed

“More cops are killed. Where does this all end? Soon it will be impossible to hire anyone for these jobs. 

Good rain

“Let’s be thankful for these recent rains. It does affect our economy
