MOULTRIE, Ga. — Police are looking for a man who used a tire tool Saturday night to force his way into his ex-girlfriend’s mobile home, strike her in the head and damaging another man’s car.

The man forced his way into Sandrika Spivey’s residence in the 1900 block of Sylvester Highway at about 11:45 p.m., according to the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

Spivey told police that when her attacker entered, the other man ran outside, leaving his car.

The suspect “then proceeded to choke Ms. Spivey, cutting off her airway,” sheriff’s Inv. Austin Cannon said. “She was able to get away from him and get outside. He followed her outside, where he proceeded to beat the vehicle of the other male on scene.”

After using the tire tool on Jesup resident Shannon Stevenson’s 2012 Hyundai Sonata, the assailant turned his attention back to Spivey, police said.

“He hit Ms. Spivey in the head with the tire tool and in the rib cage,” Cannon said. “She was transported to Colquitt Regional Medical Center.”

Spivey was treated for her injuries and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
