Drugs found during warrant arrest

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Moultrie man arrested Monday on a probation warrant faces additional charges after police found suspected marijuana.

Police charged Charles Kinsey Jr., 27, 418 10th Ave. N.W., with crossing guard line with marijuana.

In other arrests

Moultrie Police

• Otis Heard, 43, 418 First Ave. S.W., was charged Tuesday with giving false information or false name to police officer.

• Juan Ramirez-Matias, 36, 980 Smith Road, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence (driver less safe), failure to obey stop sign and driving while license suspended.

• Damonica Davis, 20, 540 Ninth St. S.W., was charged Monday with obstruction of a police officer and simple battery.

Thefts

Moultrie Police

• Amber Harrison, 100 block Thomas Street, reported Tuesday that a male acquaintance stole $40 from a wallet.

• Farmers Fuel, 924 Fourth Ave. N.W., reported Tuesday the theft of a Horton 14-foot trailer valued at $1,200.

An employee told police the trailer is black and has a drop tailgate.

Entering auto

Sheriff’s Office

• Bridges Auto Sales, 636 Woodmen Road, reported Tuesday that a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was damaged.

Battery

Sheriff’s Office

• Marvin Webb, 400 block East Gate Drive, Norman Park, reported Tuesday that a female relative hit him in the left arm using a “stick cane.”

Webb had red marks and small lacerations to the area of his left elbow, police said. The suspect was not there at the time police arrived.

Webb told police that he and the woman were arguing in the back yard when she hit him. His daughter witnessed the incident and attempted to break up the altercation.

Webb reported that before leaving the woman broke the black glass of a rented Dodge Journey.

• Marisela Escamilla, 500 block Willow Drive, reported that a male acquaintance assaulted her when she went to   pick up her children at his residence in the 500 block of Lane Road.

Escamilla had scratch marks around her neck and shoulder and a scratch on her left elbow, police said.

When the deputy spoke with Luis Rodriguez at his Lane Road residence, he reported that Escamilla showed up without notifying him that she was coming.

Rodriguez had swelling to his left eye, which he said occurred while he was trying to prevent Escamilla from coming inside the residence.

Property damage

Sheriff’s Office

• Ronnie Aldridge, 100 block Big Bear Boulevard, Norman Park, reported Tuesday that a male relative kicked a hole in his bedroom door and tried to punch a hole in a wall.

Aldridge also reported that the relative, who was not there when police arrived, was growing marijuana inside the house.

Moultrie Police

• An officer who responded to an alarm at about 11 p.m. Monday at the 100 W. Central Ave. Subway restaurant found marks on outside storage rooms indicating that someone tried to break into the business.

There also marks on a glass door that look as if someone struck it with a brick or block.
