MOULTRIE, Ga. — The identities of three people arrested in a series of raids carried out Tuesday morning with an overwhelming show of police force were revealed in booking reports Thursday.
Local authorities said that the three were arrested when more than 110 officers served federal arrest warrants at locations in Colquitt County.
The total number arrested may have totaled several dozen. The massive operation included Colquitt County officers as well as Thomasville, Lowndes County, other cities and counties, and Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents.
Arrested at 2420 Sylvester Drive were Michael Darrell Dampier, 45, and Stephanie Lynn McMurphy, 37. Both face local charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
In a separate incident, police charged Krystal Elana Parrish, 33, 508 Indian Lake Drive, with trafficking methamphetamine. While serving an arrest warrant there police seized more than an ounce of suspected meth.
Police have released no details about Tuesday’s massive operation.
Colquitt County Drug Enforcement Team members have referred a reporter to the GBI’s Sylvester office, which in turn told The Observer that the U.S. District Attorney’s office in Macon is the contact agency.
There the spokeswoman said that she had no information and seemed surprised that she had been identified as the contact person.
Police began the raids at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.
