Off-road vehicle stolen from Moultrie dealership

MOULTRIE, Ga. — An off-road vehicle valued at more than $14,000 was stolen after a thief cut the fence at a Moultrie farm equipment company.
DeMott Tractor Co. reported the Polaris Rzr 900 missing from the 1659 Sylvester Hwy. dealership.
The thief or thieves were able to gain access to the outdoor area from which the vehicle was taken by cutting through a fence, Colquitt County Sheriff’s Inv. Michael Cox said.
Local law enforcement agencies investigated a number of other property thefts recently, including:
Sheriff’s Office
• Jerry Snipes, 30 block Railroad Street, reported the theft of property valued at $350 from a storage building.
• Fermin Octaviano Macias, 100 block Cedar Street, reported Wednesday the theft of old tax returns, coins, bank paperwork and birth certificates and immunization records for five family members.
• Dale Galloway, 324 Grizzly Bear Road, reported Tuesday the theft of a cell phone valued at $600 that she left on her back porch when she left the residence.
• Ben Hickey, 200 block Jack Weeks Road, Norman Park, reported Wednesday the theft of a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard semi-automatic pistol.
Hickey told police that it’s possible the gun, which has been missing for two weeks, fell out of his car.
Moultrie Police
• Jim Houseal, 2500 block Jacquelyn Circle, reported Wednesday the theft of property valued at $500.
• Curtis Gregory, 1100 block 10th Street Southeast, reported Wednesday the theft of property valued at $1,335.
• Freddie Ponder, 200 block Eighth Street Southwest, reported Wednesday the theft of household goods valued at $1,400.
• Corene Allen Revill, 200 block 12th Avenue Southeast, reported Tuesday that the door to her basement was damaged between 6 p.m. Monday and the time of the report Tuesday morning. She investigated and found $137 worth of cleaning supplies were missing.
• Robert Earl Moore Jr., 100 block Sixth Street Southwest, reported Tuesday that a debit card and a television power cord were missing from his residence.
• Scott Vereen, of Moultrie, reported Tuesday that he had lost his wallet near Verizon, 615 Veterans Parkway. The wallet was valued at $36 and contained personal information, credit cards and $25 in currency.
• An official of Somesh Package Store, 205 Fifth St. S.E., reported Tuesday that a new employee cashed a check for $1,133, scanned the check and the recipient’s license as required, then gave the recipient her money and gave her the check back too. When contacted, the woman said she no longer has the check.

• Rashawn Kawame Hunt, 23, 605 Second Ave. N.W., was charged July 27 with possession of marijuana with intent and use of communication facility in committing an act of felony.
• Thomas Lee Tyler, 36, 411 First Ave. S.W., was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
• Holly Davidson Taylor, 24, 178 Randall Salter Road, Omega, was charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana.
• Cornelius Antione Sims, 28, 436 Circle Road, was charged Wednesday with failure to obey stop sign and driving while license suspended.
• Alexander Tyler Pitts, 20, 327 Swift Canteen Road, was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct.
• Carnika Pace, 43, 931 W. Highland Ave., Albany, was charged Thursday with driving with suspended license.
• Shantel Yevett Hayes, 37, 917 Fourth Ave. S.W., was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct.
• Kayla Sheree Fowler, 18, 172 W. Walnut St., Sale City, was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct.
• Salciel Reyes, 54, was charged Monday with disorderly conduct.
• Michael Cornelius Herrington, 58, 550 26th Ave. S.E., was charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of an accident and open container in vehicle.
• Quinton Rashim Garrett, 41, 814 Third Ave. N.W., was charged Tuesday with simple battery, obstruction of an officer and criminal trespass.
Norman Park Police
• Steven Drake Davis, 19, 4750 Hwy. 188, Ochlocknee, was charged Wednesday with driving while license withdrawn.

• Michael Jay Gray, 33, 330 S. Railroad St., Norman Park.
Battery
Sheriff’s Office
• Tracie Gleason, 200 block Indian Lake Drive, reported Tuesday that a male companion pushed her, broke her cell phone and took their rent money in the course of an argument.
The officer spoke on the phone with Frank Perkins, who was not at the residence, and he “admitted he broke the phone and took the money,” police said. Perkins told police that he was paying for the phone and that the money was his.
Gleason also left the residence because she said she did not feel safe.
Gleason had no visible injuries, police said.
• Kay Weeks, 2000 Charlie Hamm Road, reported Tuesday that a juvenile male relative kicked her in the stomach and has abused her dogs in recent days, and that he also submerged her cell phone in water when she tried to call police.
Fraud
Sheriff’s Office
• Luz Aguilar, 1400 block Old Doerun Road, reported Tuesday that someone forged and cashed her income tax refund check in the amount of $1,701.
Moultrie Police
• Sandra Allen, 500 block 26th Avenue Southeast, reported Wednesday an incident of financial transaction card fraud and theft by taking.
• Oxley’s, 501 Veterans Parkway S., reported Wednesday the theft of an undetermined amount of cash.
