Kathryn Barber Kryder and Jeffrey Michael Putnam were united in marriage at half past five on April 30, 2016, at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. Dr. Mark Crumpler officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stanley Kryder of Atlanta, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allan Putnam, also of Atlanta. Her grandparents are Mrs. Joyce Patch Barber of Moultrie and the late Mr. Albert White Barber and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Monroe Kryder, Jr. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Cemeno of NY, NY and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walbridge Putnam.
The wedding music was provided by Steven Woodell, organist, and Sam Hagan, vocalist.
The flowers at the church were styled after her mother’s wedding, with large matched arrangements of white Casablanca lilies, gladiolas, hybrid delphiniums, hydrangeas, snapdragons, ivory and white garden roses, and trailing English ivy set amongst natural foliage and brass candelabra with white tapers.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal length gown of white slipper satin with a pearl and crystal embellished Alencon lace princess bodice and Alencon lace cap sleeves. Amantilla styled veil of white silk illusion, originally worn by her mother, covered the cathedral length train. It was edged with a triple border of Alencon lace featuring scattered appliques of lace. She carried a cascading bouquet of garden white roses, tiny white garden spray roses, gardenias, stephanotis, freesias, and Dendrobian orchids. She finished her ensemble with various pieces of family jewelry.
Anne Lindsey Kozak of Washington, DC, served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Rebecca Lee Allen, Caroline Long Barber, Christine Louise Barber, Victoria Lynne Barber, Elizabeth Exley Giles, Windham Lucy Key, and Lily Marie Yates.
The attendants wore full-length grenadine color sleeveless sateen twill dresses with bateau necklines and inset midriffs. They were accented with a low back bow and pleated skirts. They carried cascading bouquets of flowers in shades of pink and white.
The best man was Shane Edward Vaiskauskas of New York, NY, and the groomsmen were John Stephen Barber, Timothy Patrick Brunelle, Michael Thomas Eskey, Jr., David Louis Hill, II, Robert Stanley Kryder, Jr., and Thomas Alan Smith, Jr.
The reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at Capital City Club in Atlanta. The reception level rooms were decorated with massed arrangements of pink and white flowers with coordinating smaller arrangements on scattered tables. Garlands of matching flowers with pillar candles in glass lined the way to the ballroom where a towering arrangement anchored the room. Candelabra and topiary arrangements, as well as small arrangements, graced the tables. The reception hour was followed by a meal and dancing to the Evolution Party Band.
The happy couple left the reception in a horse drawn princess carriage. They honeymooned in Italy, followed by a Mediterranean cruise, and now reside in Atlanta.
