Drug cases dominate Colquitt County indictments

MOULTRIE, GA. — As is often the case, the largest number of charges considered by grand jurors involve drug charges.

During the June term the Colquitt County Grand Jury heard evidence in cases involving methamphetamine and cocaine as well as prescription medications, with a number of the incidents involving prisoners possessing suspected illegal substances in jail.

Among the indictments are:

• Eric Lamar Palmore, 21, 300 Ninth St. S.W.; possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana.

• Clyde Hamby; possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana.

• Shacoby Latisha Stubbins, 30, 324 N. Spair St., Thomasville; interference with government property, crossing guard line with drugs, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended, child safety restraint violation, two counts giving false information to a law enforcement officer.

• Deborah Blackburn; possession of methamphetamine.

• Willie Charles Peterson Jr., 34, 801 Fifth St. N.W.;  possession of marijuana with intent to distribute more than an ounce, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, obstruction of an officer, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, criminal trespass  driving while license suspended.

• Cain Hall, 38, 289 Southerland Ave., Berlin; possession of methamphetamine. 

• Deanthony Eubanks, 24, 200 S. Vandenburg Drive; possession of marijuana, two counts possession of prohibited items by inmates.

• Thomas Allen Duke, 31, 200 S. Vandenburg Drive; possession of prohibited items by inmates, possession of methamphetamine.

• James E. Kastelic, 45, 1265 Doc Darbyshire Road; possession of methamphetamine, giving false information to a law enforcement officer.

• David Mark Dupriest, 50, 101 Northfield Drive, Thomasville; possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects.

• Nathan Smith, 35, 864 Limousine Lane, Thomasville; possession of drug-related objects, giving false information to a law enforcement officer, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act. 

• Myron Robinson, 29, 200 S. Vandenburg Drive; crossing guard line with drugs, two counts possession of prohibited items by inmates.

• Gerardo Reyes Johnson Sr., 23, 200 S. Vandenburg Drive; possession of contraband by an inmate, two counts possession of prohibited items by inmates.

• Julian Xavier Monroe, 18, 2617 Seventh St. S.E.; failure to maintain lane, possession of marijuana, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of handgun by person under the age of 18 years.

• Jason Jamal Broner, 28, 134 Minnesota Road, Doerun; Byron John Jordan, 29, 1115 Fourth Ave. N.W.; Dy’Kerian Quashaud Williams, 20, 502 Ninth St. S.W.; and Durrian Perez Pace; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

In that same indictment Pace is accused of violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, drugs not in original container.

• Dustin Kastelic, 27, 1265 Doc Darbyshire Road; possession of methamphetamine, driving while license suspended, crossing guard lines with drugs.

• Byron Silas, 33, 157 Denham Road, Pelham; possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, five counts theft by receiving stolen property, five counts possession of firearm by first-offender probationer. 

• Demetrius Davis; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

• Lorenzo Resendiz, 21, 205 23rd St. S.E.; and Antonio Vasquez Jr., 40; possession of cocaine.

• Travis Wilson; possession of cocaine, obstruction of an officer.

• Jack Kennedy; possession of drug-related objects, possession of methamphetamine.

• Theresa Karen Jones, 48, 749 Circle Road; possession of drug-related objects, possession of methamphetamine.

• Dewayne Bakare McDuffie, 21, 530 Thomas Ave., Camilla; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

• Anthony Mock, 40, 117 Lonesome Pine Trail; two counts possession of a controlled substance, two counts drugs (to be) in original container and possession of methamphetamine.

• Clyde Hamby, also known as Randy Dwayne Bowen; James Allen Potts; Robert Wayne Foster; Willilam Melvin Scott; Doyle Clyde Hamby; Ramond Lowell Bowen; Randy Dwayne Bowen; possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana.

In other cases:

• Troy Carver, 25, 1045 11th Ave. N.E., Cairo; Katlin Cowart, 21, 117 Thomas St., Bainbridge; and Connie Ferrell, 32, 625 South Ave., Pelham; burglary and theft by taking.

Carver also was indicted on charges of possession of hydrocodone and possession of methamphetamine.

• Troy Carver; entering an automobile.

• James Russell Howell, 33, 2789 Fifth St. S.E.; ten counts theft by taking, false report of a crime.

• Eric Ray Carden, 45, 9044 Taff Road; theft by shoplifting.

• Jessica Nicole Evers, 26, 241 Cranford St., Berlin; burglary, two counts theft by taking.

• Leroy McBride, 53; burglary.

• Abraham Lee Jr. and Henry P. Sanders; burglary.

• Leroy McBride; criminal attempt to commit a felony.

• Eric Nevil Fredrick, 42, Thomasville; burglary, theft by taking.

• Franklin Vickers Birdsong; four counts theft by deception, four counts deposit account fraud.

• Myaisa Banks, 18, and Nathaniel Banks, 17, both of 205 Dennis Powell Lane; theft by taking.

• Travien Walker, 24, 553 27th St. S.E. Apt. 2; and Gabriel Shantrell Brown, 28, 611 Fourth Ave. S.W.; theft by shoplifting.

• Abreon Hunt, 21, 605 S. Troup St., Valdosta; and Jacob Mitchell; two counts theft by shoplifting.

Hunt also was indicted on a charge of driving while license suspended.

• Mitchell Pruit; two counts child molestation, aggravated child molestation, sexual battery against a child under 16. 

• Franklin Alan Smithwick; child molestation.

• Tillman E. Welch, 67, 129 Lakeshore Road; child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes. 

• Letherrio Farrell; possession of an illegal weapon, two counts possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction or hindering a law enforcement officer.

• Josh Tillman Jacobs, 39, 2009 Second St. S.E.; impersonating an officer.

• Michael Craven, 36, 420 David Newton Road, Norman Park; driving under the influence, fleeing or attempting to elude police officer and failure to maintain lane.

• Justin Corey Truelove, 32, 408 Dean Matthews Road; criminal use of an article with an altered identification, driving under the influence, possession of drug-related objects, possession of marijuana.

• Tellis Jackson, 18, 9 Wayne Way, Albany; carrying weapons within certain school areas.

• Willie James Dillard, 22, 134 Selina Drive; terroristic threats, reckless conduct.

• Angela Gallegos, 27, 220 Hawthorne Drive Lot 6; false report of a crime, two counts making a false statement.

• Christopher Neal Simmons, 26, 534 D.H. Alderman Road; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

• Johnnie Lee Taylor, 24, 200 S. Vandenburg Drive; crossing guard lines with a weapon, two counts possession of prohibited items by inmates.

• Jerry Bozeman, 47, 329 Dunn Road; forgery in the first degree.
