Multiple places will provide kids free meals this summer

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Boys and Girls Club will provide free meals to children 18 years old and younger, not only at its main site on Central Avenue but also at four other sites around Moultrie and one in Norman Park.
The summer feeding program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to address children who can no longer depend on the lunch meals they normally receive during the school day.
All six of the club’s feeding sites will provide lunches. Two will also provide breakfast, and the main site will throw in a “third meal” at 2 p.m.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Moultrie/Colquitt County, 420 W. Central Ave., will serve breakfast 8-8:45 a.m., lunch 11:45-12:15 and the third meal 2-2:30 p.m. It will be serving May 31 through July 29
Friendship Baptist Church, 421 Sixth Ave. N.W., will serve breakfast 8-9 a.m. and lunch 11:15-11:45 a.m. June 7-June 23.
Haven Hill Estates, 1330 U.S. 319 in Norman Park, will serve lunch 11:20-11:50 a.m. June 6-July 29.
Packer Villas, Ninth Street Southwest, will have lunch 12:15-12:45 p.m. June 6-July 29.
Forest Creek Apartments, 409 MLK Jr. Drive, will have lunch 1-1:30 p.m. June 6-July 29.
Moultrie Housing Authority, 725 Fourth St. N.W., will have lunch 1:45-2:15 p.m. June 6-July 29.
In addition, the Colquitt County School System will participate in the Seamless Summer Feeding Program with meals at Cox Elementary School, Stringfellow Elementary School, and C.A. Gray Junior High. The dates will be June 6-July 15, but sites will be closed July 4. The school system has not announced meal times for its sites.
