Weaver leads Zaxby’s victory

MOULTRIE — Jayden Weaver had two home runs, including a grand slam, and two doubles to lead Zaxby’s to a 14-3 Midget League victory over Moultrie Heating and Cooling on Tuesday at the Magnolia Sports Complex.
Hayes Lightsey also went 4-for-4 as Zaxby’s raised its record to 7-1.

James Bledsoe had two hits and Abrham Daniels, Joseph Reed and Michael Bledsoe each ahd one hit.
Daniels got the win. Lightsey also pitched.
Will Snipes, Chaz Odom and Jake Tucker each had two hits and Joshua Burnham, Baidon Kelley and Morgan Cooper each had one for Moultrie Heating and Cooling.
Southwest Georgia Insurance remains unbeaten in the Midget League after its 17-4 win over Goodno Electric.
Drew Johnson led Southwest Georgia Insurance at the plate, going 4-for-4. Neko Fann had two hits and winning pitcher Pershaun Fann, Zy’Norian McClendon, Daniel Johnson, Jordan Hudson, Davis Greene and Cal Grantham each had one hit.
In Pony League on Tuesday, Davis, behind the pitching of Henry Daniels and Jacob Walden, defeated Taylor 3-2.

Daniels went 3-for-3; Hayden Moore and Wes Davis each had two hits; and Walden and Gavin Parkerson each had one for Davis, which raised its record to 4-1.
The loss was the first of the year for Taylor, which had won its first four games.
Tajh Sanders had two hits and J.T. Whatley and Evan Taylor each had one for Taylor.
In Tuesday’s other Pony League game, Pitts and Bozeman battled to a 7-7 tie.
Chance Sealy went 3-for-3 and Carter Boatwright had two hits, including a home run, to lead Pitts. Teammates Dawson Branch, Chance Caulder, Jackson Avera and Jaheim Ward each had one hit.
Callon Kubiak had two hits, including a home run, for Bozeman. Omar Daniels, Ethan Wade and Drew Dalton each had one hit.
In Tuesday’s Tiny Mites, Holman Supply defeated Southwest Georgia Bank 14-3; Quality Employment won over Mobley Plant 14-6; Larry’s Bait and Tackle edged Stone’s 13-10; and Edward Jones remains atop the league standings after defeating Baell Mercantile 18-3.
Lazarus raised its Farm League record to 8-2 with an 8-5 win over Mobley Plant on Tuesday.
Mason Moore had had three hits and Landon Weeks, Andrew Strickland, Luke Ellerbee and Eric Henson had two each for Lazarus.
Cayden Webb, Landon Thomas and Trip Gregory each had two for Mobley Plant.
Farm Bureau defeated Southwest Georgia Bank 13-2 in Tuesday’s other Farm League game. Zach Faircloth had three hits and John David Propst, Andrew Anderson, Alex Baker and Spencer Sellers each had two for Farm Bureau. Cook Tompkins and Adam Beverly each had two for Southwest Georgia Bank.
