Arts Center to host dance festival

On March 18-20, nearly 100 dancers and their families will converge in Moultrie for a unique, three-day event that will bring together dancers and dance instructors from a wide range of experience and dance styles.
The Colquitt County Arts Center will host its first Spring Dance Festival. Dancers will spend most of their weekend at the Colquitt County Arts Center, where event coordinator Lovedy Griner teaches dance on Monday afternoons. She will be joined by instructors from all over the region, including Marie Harper Downy from Atlanta, Patricia Nealey from Valdosta, Beatrice Scherz Corbin from Tallahassee, Raina Hodges Miranda from Camilla, Vanessa Miller from Fitzgerald, and Leslie Hodges from Camilla.

Dancers will study diverse performance styles, including ballet, jazz, swing, and contemporary.
