The gorilla in the room

“Please understand that we can’t quit fossil fuels cold turkey. It would destroy us economically. To think we can do this is terrible oversimplification. However, we should certainly be minimizing that usage by utilizing cleaner ‘green’ fuels where possible and by further researching how to make fossil fuels cleaner and more sensitive to our environment.
There is much intelligent conversation going on about this subject even as we speak. However, we still don’t have a national initiative in this regard.
“Let’s say you could produce hydrogen fuel right there at home and that it would be very economical. You still have the issue or regulations, vehicle modifications, etc. Yes, it would bet taxed because you would still be using the road and they have to be paid for. Part of that complexity someone mentioned.
“It’s funny how so many people praise capitalism and at the same time curse taxes. They are a tandem folks!
“Yes, I also want to hear the school board address the issue of school teachers purchasing their own supplies. I’ve heard about this for years. It’s like that big gorilla in the room that no one wants to acknowledge. Well, it’s time to wake that big hairy creature up.
“Bullying is bad whether it’s on Facebook or on the playground. I can’t stand a bully. Quite often they are eaten up with some kind of inferiority complex and they are trying to outshadow that frailty with some kind of bravado.
“Has the school board considered buying out the remainder of the Superintendent’s contract and letting him go? An interim superintendent could be found or appointed. There is nothing worse than a lame duck and especially one who by his actions has demonstrated he does not want to be in Colquitt County.
“I don’t think I’ve met anyone who thought the Vietnam War accomplished anything positive. Unfortunately, we learned very little about that war.
“Speaking about the Vietnam War and other such poor decisions, one must understand that the military complex helps make up the underbelly of our capitalist philosophies.
“Someone mentioned distribution in expounding upon fuel sources. Distribution is the skeleton key to all marketing. A great idea, or even a great product is nothing more than a paperweight unless a distribution system is in place.
For instance, a person can write and sing a beautiful song.
But unless he or she has a record label, then it’s just a highlight of a family reunion.
