Jerry Albert Quick

PAVO – Services for Jerry Albert Quick, 67 of Pavo will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Pavo United Methodist Church. Rev. Marshall Singletary and Rev. Molly Danner will officiate and interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery. 

Mr. Quick passed away February 14, 2016 while enjoying his favorite pastime, riding his motorcycle. Born April 22, 1948, he was the son of the late Pettis Eugene Quick and Betty Agnes McKinney Quick. He was married to Deborah Kilgore Quick who survives. Mr. Quick was a long distance hauler for T & H Sales hauling heavy equipment and Fletcher Customs & Speed. He was a member of Pavo United Methodist Church, volunteered 20+ years for the Pavo Fire Department and was a member of the Patriot Guard. He also was a supporter of Suicide Awareness, the Sheriff’s Boy’s Ranch, Toy’s for Tots and the US Troops. He was an avid blood donor to the American Red Cross. He also enjoyed collecting Dale Earnhardt, Sr., memorabilia, gunsmithing, and was a firearms dealer. While not working or riding, Jerry could always be found on the softball fields, basketball court, or soccer field. 

Other survivors include his children, Dennis Quick of Quincy, Fla., Stephanie Quick of Thomasville and April Quick-Fletcher and husband Chad of Coolidge; grandchildren, Kailyn Quick, Mallory Ann Fletcher, Ava Allyn Fletcher and Sarah Fallin; brother, Wendell Quick and wife Yvonne and sister Elaine Dick and husband Raymond, all of Pavo; several nieces and nephews; and his fellow ZRX friends and riders. 

Memorial donations may be made to Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Drive, Thomasville, Ga. 31792 or Thomasville YMCA, 1304 Remington Ave, Thomasville, Ga. 31792. The family will receive friends 5 p.m.-7pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
