Jerlene Hughes Tatum

MOULTRIE – Jerlene Hughes Tatum, 86, of Moultrie, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Mr. Heath Tatum officiating.  Interment will follow in Hartsfield Cemetery. 

Casketbearers will be Cliff Tatum, Travis Tatum, Justin Tatum, Heath Tatum, Matthew Cannon, Matt Whittington, and Jed Sellers.

Born Nov. 2, 1929 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Ben E. Hughes and Martha Roby Hughes.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a bookkeeper with Doerun Milling Company.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Bartow “L.B.” Tatum; and two sons, Lawrence B. Tatum and Randy Tatum.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Tatum and Janie of Moultrie; a daughter, Anne T. McFadden and Bobby of Moultrie; nine grandchildren, DeShaun Mills, Heath Tatum, Cliff Tatum, Selena Nix, Randi Tatum Davis, Justin Tatum, Travis Tatum, Jennifer Tatum, and Daniella Clark; eleven great-grandchildren, Allie Mills, Addison Mills, Montana Tatum, Journey Tatum, Haven Hood, Ryan Hood, Randall Crows, Caleb Nix, Blade Bryant, Kelan Clark, and Kayleigh Clark; and sister, Annie Corine “Aunt Sugar” Haney of Auburndale, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Febr. 13, 2016, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
