John Beverly “Jerry” Hicks

MOULTRIE – John Beverly “Jerry” Hicks, 56, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Norman and Mr. Cliff Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Cliff Howard, Dallon Croft, Joel Hicks, Carl Rhodes, Jeffery Wilson, Shannon Hicks, and Chris Shahan. Rodney Hicks will serve as honorary casketbearer.

Born August 12, 1959, in Warner Robins, he was the son of Virginia Lee Peacock Ricks of Moultrie and the late Albert Thomas Hicks. He was a self-employed maintenance worker.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Hicks.

In addition to his mother, survivors include three daughters, Kimberly Leigh Wilson and Jeffery of Moultrie, Allison Taylor Hicks and Christopher of St. Marys, Ga. and Lori Hicks of Georgia; two grandchildren, Rhylee Wilson and J.T. Hicks; and a sister, Ellen Hicks Howard and Gary of Moultrie.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
