Griner, Walker announce engagement

MOULTRIE — Mr. and Mrs. Keith B. Griner of Moultrie are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Keaton Alyse Griner, to Dr. Clay Harden Walker. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jarrell W. Walker Sr. of Abbeville, Ga.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Gail G. Weaver and the late Robert Emory Weaver Sr. of Norman Park. An honor graduate of Colquitt County High School, Miss Griner received her Associate of Science degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Family and Consumer Sciences. She transferred to the University of Georgia where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications with a Certificate of Leadership. She is currently the Sponsorship and Special Programs Coordinator at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, Ga.
The future groom is the grandson of Ms. Effie S. Harden and the late Elton B. Harden of Abbeville, Ga., and the late Wendell A. Walker and Gertrude Wilson Walker of Abbeville, Ga. An honor graduate of Wilcox County High school, Mr. Walker received his Associate of Science degree in Animal Science from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and then transferred to the University of Georgia where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agronomy. He also received his Master of Education degree from the University of Georgia as well as his Ph.D. in Kinesiology. He is currently an agricultural education teacher at Veterans High School in Kathleen, Ga.
The wedding will be held April 9, 2016, at Southside Baptist Church, Norman Park, Ga.
