CAMILLA — Kyle and Sherie Kearns of Camilla, Ga., are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Jordyn Kayla Kearns, to Mackenzie Wheeler Murphy. He is the son of Ralph and Debbie Murphy of Camilla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the Rev. Robert and Kathy Lewis of Camilla, Bob and Dorothy Kearns of Camilla, and the late Faye Kearns.

She graduated from Baconton High School in 2009 and received a bachelor of arts in sociology from Berry College in Rome, Ga. She is currently employed with the Mitchell County Department of Family Services, but has accepted a position with Mitchell County Children and Youth.

The future groom is the grandson of June Crosby of Moultrie, Tommy and Kaye Thomas of Moultrie, the late Roger Crosby, and William and Mary Ann Murphy of Moultrie.

He graduated from Baconton High School in 2009. He attended Berry College and later transferred to Southern Polytechnic State University, where he will graduate in December 2014 with a bachelor of arts in mechanical engineering technology. He is employed with Hays LTI in Camilla.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 1, 2014, at Sundown Farms Plantation in Moultrie. Invitations will be mailed.
