Tyson Steel/Wheeler Hardware wins FCA tournament

The Tyson Steel/Wheeler Hardware foursome of Brad Tyson, Matt Wear, Craig Cannon and Brad Wheeler scored a 53 to win the Jim Buck Goff Invitational golf tournament on Friday at Sunset Country Club.

The tournament is the largest fund-raiser for the local chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has raised more than $300,000 over the last two decades.
Proceeds from the tournament are used to send deserving Colquitt County athletes to a variety of FCA camps.
Money raised by the tournament also has endowed two annual scholarships.
The Edwards Motors/Destiny team of Billy Edwards, Davis Edwards, Jon Edwards and Bob Qurnell scored a 55.4 to place second.
In third was the Funston Gin team of John Stallings, Tyler DeMott and Allison Fagan, with a 56.
DeMott Peanut, with a 56.4, was fourth and was followed by Adams Motors, 56.6; Standard Discount, 56.8; Colquitt Regional Medical Center, 57.4; Zaxby’s, 57.6; Farmers Gin, 57.8; and Southwest Georgia Bank, 58.0.
