Thieves take over $10,000 in property during weekend

A radar detector, farm truck, computers and television sets were among more than $9,800 in property thefts reported to law enforcement agencies in Colquitt County over the weekend.

That total does not include two automobiles whose values were not estimated.

Among the property thefts reported to Moultrie Police:

• Pavan Manchi, 1800 block Fourth Street Southeast, reported Friday the theft of a Garmin GPS and a radar detector with a total value of $700 out of a BMW automobile.

• Harold Singletary, first block West Boulevard, reported Friday the theft of a satellite television receiver valued at $100.

Singletary told police that the receiver was stolen after it was delivered by UPS.

• Kevin Murphy, 400 block Fifth Avenue Southeast, reported Friday the theft of a Task Force three-drawer tool box and tools with a total value of $300.

• Wal-Mart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., reported that a man stole meat valued at $52 and escaped on foot after he was confronted.

• Anita Williamson, 1000 block Sixth Avenue Southeast, reported Sunday the theft of a Vizio flat screen television valued at $141.

• Barbara Bennett, 1000 block 11th Street Southeast, reported Sunday that a female acquaintance stole her 1999 Honda Accord.

Sheriff’s Office

• Wendy Cosper, 2300 block Brookfield-Lenox Road, Tifton, reported Sunday that her 2000 Nissan Altima was missing and that she suspected it was taken by a female relative who lives in Moultrie.

• Nelly Esparza, 100 block  Burt Horne Avenue, reported Sunday the theft of a Pioneer compact disc player valued at $144 out of a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado that a relative left in the 900 block of Chitty Road after running out of gas.

• Patrick Moncrief, 200 block Norris Road, reported Saturday the theft of two Penn rod and real combinations and a tackle box containing salt water tackle.

 He estimated the value of the property at $1,200.

• Shirley Dampier, 3300 block Old Berlin Road, reported Friday the theft of a 1990 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck, utility trailer and 40 metal fence posts with a total value of $3,295.

• Jessica Smith, 200 block  Sunset Lane, reported Friday that an HP computer and Windstream router with a total value of $1,050 were stolen during a burglary of her residence.

The front door was forced open and was ajar when she arrived home. Smith told police that after replacing damaged wood her husband found the door had been forced open again the following day.

• Gina Bryant, 200 block Jim Sharpe Road, Norman Park, reported Friday the theft of a 12-volt battery valued at $140 that was used to power an electric fence.

• Betty Ball, 200 block Bay Pole School Road, reported Friday the theft of an LG 55-inch flat screen television, 15-inch Dell laptop computer and Pentech cellular telephone.

The estimated value of the stolen property was $2,800.

Moultrie Police

• Silverio Martinez-Vazquez, 32, 4664 Adel Road, was charged Friday with no driver’s license and running red light.

• Eudora J. Edwards, 27, 430 Seventh St. S.W., was charged Saturday with no proof of insurance.

• Brandy Alisha Barnes, 27, 518 First Ave. S.W., was charged Saturday with giving false name or information and probation violation.

• Angela Arie Carter, 31, 1012 11th St. S.E., was charged Saturday with suspended license, expired tag and giving false name or information.

• Victoriano Perez Fernando, 19, 111 Oak St., was charged Sunday with no driver’s license.

• Alexis Kenyatta Spradley, 31, 22 E. Bethel Ave., was charged Sunday with no insurance and suspended tag.

• Regina Anne Dallas, 21, 422 Tompkins Buckner Road, was charged Sunday with possession of marijuana and possession of a Schedule III substance.

• James Darrell Brackin, 55, 1006 Third Ave. S.W., was charged Sunday with driving with suspended license.

• Christopher Ryan Gay, 20, 2270 G. Hwy. 33 S., was charged Sunday with theft by shoplifting.

Gay is accused of attempting to steal a PS4 Infamous from Wal-Mart, 621 Veterans Parkway.

Norman Park Police

• Veronica Lee Resendiz, 27, 105 Cavalier Drive, Greenville, S.C., was charged Sunday with driving while license withdrawn and speeding in highway work zone.

Sheriff’s Office

• Myriam Campos Corona-Pena, 24, was charged Saturday with no driver’s license.

• Nitarsha Lynell Eady, 41, 148 Williams Way, was charged Friday with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident with damage and failure to maintain lane.

• Antonio Lara Jr., 18, 196 Lisa Lane, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of accident with injuries and failure to yield when turning left.

• Gino Julio Lopez, 22, 283 Circle Road, was charged Friday with burglary.

• Jose Daniel Sifuentes, 24, 1045 Jonah Tillman Road, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, driving without license and failure to drive within single lane.

• Digna Torres, 24, 336 Magnolia Ave., was charged Sunday with defective equipment and driving while license withdrawn.

• Jamie Pelcastre Gomez, 20, 327 Indian Creek Subdivision Road, was charged Friday with no license and no seat belt.

• Dani Hernandez, 24, 102 Simbas Path, Georgetown, Ky., was charged Sunday with no license.

• Lowell Timothy Radney, 49, 11774 Adel Road, was charged Friday with driving under the influence, driving on wrong side of road and failure to drive within single lane.

• William Brandon Kearce, 31, 728 Shade Murphy Road, was charged Sunday with probation violation.

Georgia State Patrol

• Brett Adam Gerald, 1763 Hopewell Church Road, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and speeding.

Battery

Moultrie Police

• Tabitha Conners, 22, Moultrie, reported Friday that she was attacked Friday on Regency Village Drive.

Jerome Spence, 100 block Fifth Street Northwest, reported Friday that his thumb was injured during a July 19 incident when a male acquaintance pushed him down to the floor.

Spence told police that he did not report the incident earlier because he did not realize initially that his thumb had been broken.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

• Celdrick Greene, 500 block 27th Street Southeast, reported July 22 that a 2001 Cadillac Deville was scratched all over.

• Berndette Duncan, 800 block Fourth Street Northwest, reported Friday finding spray paint on the driver’s side of a 2002 Toyota Echo and that the windshield was scratched.

• Feliciano Gonzalez, 100 block Ninth Avenue Southeast, reported Friday that the license of an Oldsmobile Aurora was spray painted black.

• Ronnie Sutton, 1100 block 14th Street Southeast, reported Friday that someone threw a pipe at his bedroom window, breaking it.

He estimated the cost of replacing the window at $30.

• Joshua Rosencrantz, 24, Moultrie, reported Friday that the driver of a van struck his 2014 Nissan Sentra while he was driving through an intersection at Old Fifth Avenue and First Avenue Southeast.

• Britnie Harrison, 1500 block Fourth Avenue Northeast, reported Sunday that a tire was cut on a 2004 Honda Accord.

• Dianna Thornton, 31, Moultrie, reported Sunday that her 2005 Dodge Neon was struck by a Ford F-150 XLT while the car was parked in the 1700 block of Tallokas Road.

Thornton told police that she noticed the truck parked next to her car when she got out at the store, and that witnesses confirmed the driver of that truck struck her vehicle.

• Willie Howard, Arrowhead Lane, reported Friday that a window of a rental residence was broken.

Moultrie Police

• Robert Dinkins, 400 block East Central Avenue, reported Sunday that a male acquaintance looked into his windows and left walking through his front yard.

Dinkins told police that the man previously had been served with a trespassing notice to not return to his property.
